make up my mind,,,, you might as well just call the tracks whatever you like as well,,none the less, enjoy this nice ditty from 1976 http://www.mediafire.com/?0tuta0ifcww
Thanx a million! You aware that these Cats more or less scored The Blaxploitation film Candy Tangerine Man from 1975. A definitive must see for any Blaxplo-fan. It's upped over at Cinemageddon's Blaxploitation Project for those who snatch torrents. Is it cool if I link to your post over at http://blaxploitationpride.blogspot.com/ as there is a request for this album over there right now?
morning dok - this is a great one, solid funk and solid arrangements, many thanks! I've pimped you over at blaxploitationpride and told them to say thankyou :)
Thanks for this. As noted in earlier comments blog viewers has brought me to this site. With your permission I would like to link this upload to blaxploitationpride.blogspot.com. It has been a request for my viewers.
Hey Doctor- Many of these are completely unknown to me. But I am absolutely thrilled to have the chance to check 'em out. Thanks a bunch for your efforts.
Yup..this is the good shit! We posted it at the old, semi-private and now totally defunkt 4BB...here's some additional info from that post:
This is Smoke (later renamed Blacksmoke when the album was re-issued after changing record company), a fantastic eight-piece funk unit, and their self-titled debut from 1976 produced by Wayne Henderson! They had two minor hit singles off this album – "Screamin'" and "There It Is", both really groovy cuts.
Had screamin' on 45, played it until it died. Got the album. Moved and grooved. About an hour ago, I was looking through what's left of my vinyl and came across Blacksmoke. Thought......I'll never find this; record companies aren't gonna re-release if they can't make money.
Then lo and behold! You brought it to me!!! Thank you so much. You have no idea how glad I am to be listening to screaming and the rest. Of course, I'm never gonna get enough sleep now and it's your fault, Doc, but what the hell!
