on a side note, keep in mind that there might be a group of people (like me) who read your site via RSS feed. also keep in mind that the only text that the feed-readers see is the text after the photo. this means that, until i actually visited your site, i did not see the "food for thought" post. also, it's impossible to comment directly from the RSS feed, so for someone (like me) who started reading music-post blogs like this one, the idea of the poster wanting a comment for each download is completely foreign.
so, those 100s of downloads without comments could be from people like me who do most/all of their interaction to your site through a feed reader...
