Yo Doc...thanks for these! They bring back funny memories of the movies, as well as memories of Hip Hop / Rap being "fun". Damn shame this was close to the begining of the art form being "pimped" by masses!

Yessir!!! I bought this record, well.. my mom bought it for me when I was a kid (which I STILL have to this day) and I used to laugh my butt off when listening to side 2 of the 1st song. The guy is rapping and when he starts the line "This is a description of a breakdance, remember to practice when you get a chance. And then some day one way or another you'll dance just as good as me and my brother..." He gets soooooooo off beat and they DIDNT fix it!!! They left it to be pressed up and to be laughed at for the years to come!!! I also remember the poster inside showing you how to breakdance like the pros!!! Great record!!!!!!

This one seriously bring back memories of my childhood growing up in Peoria, Illinois. I used to have this record, and I hung the poster up in my bedroom. Me and my friends would gather in the backyard and practice our backspin on a piece of cardboard. Plus the tunes- Jam On It, It's Liek That, Electric Kingdom- true classics of the early hip-hop. Thanks so much for bringing back these memories.

Best, Kevin

AHHH yeah One year to the day that this was posted! I remember in the early 90's I was after anything breakdance because it was nostalgic and a little ironic given the state of hip-hop, come to think of it I don't appreciate the irony (things like that give an image) of those days!

I had these on vinyl when they first came out in the 80's. 'Electric Breakdance' was one of the albums that I learn to scratch on. I ruined some tracks, but I still kept it. Thanks for posting these!

Thanks for sharing "Breakdance". I just got the soundtrack vinyl to "Breakdance - You Can Do It" and converted/cleaned up all the songs to MP3 form. Oddly, it was missing "Shock Waves" and "Say What, Say Who?" by Alex And The City Crew. At least now I have a complete soundtrack album.
